First of all, I'd like to both thank and apologize for everyone who supported the game be it sharing, buying or reaching out ourselves. A lot of things happened and the game got a bit abandoned out of its Steam version.

Also, as of the title, Softwool no longer exists. There are more information on the linked post, but as you can see this doesn't mean the game is gone as well, neither that newer projects will be lost. But more of that in the future.

As of news, here's some highlights:

• Patched gamepad controller UX. The game is much better now for every single interaction made on a gamepad
• Better leaderboard control
• Updated save file format and additions
• Talents: permament improvements (or challenges) that you can buy and equip that persist across runs

Due the amount of cherry-picking and changes (mainly on removing Steam SDK specifics to keep the game entirely working "DRM-free" without losing any feature) while reconciling with my daily job, house chores and taking care of our cats, it ended up taking much more time than expected.

But the ground-work is done now so any patch can be pretty much easily replicable for both versions of the game. I still need to do some specific changes regarding automated processes like building the game so it's less error prone and I don't have to worry much about the busywork and focus on game design and development

I do not love discord as a platform, but until I make some e-mail list/newsletter it's also good to have more contact with players, both older and newer and also use this as a way to showcase new projects and ideas which might interest you. Due the big changing of porting and rewriting a lot of code, even with me being able to play the game a lot and anticipate some issues, it sure needs more playtest to ensure it's in a good state, so I'll consider the newest v1.4.5 here as an experimental version for now. If you're interested in helping with playtest it, definitely reach out!
